Reaching out takes courage — and you’ve already done the hardest part by being here. This guide walks you through exactly what your free consultation call will look like, so you can come feeling prepared, not anxious.

What this call is

Your consultation is a free, confidential, 20-minute conversation with Pride in Care. It is not a sales pitch, and there is no pressure. We’re here to understand your situation, answer your questions, and see whether — and how — we can help. That’s it.

Have your calendar handy in case you want to book a follow-up. Other than that, you don’t need to prepare anything at all.

What we’ll discuss

We’ll keep the conversation relaxed and go at your pace. These are the areas we usually touch on — not a checklist we grill you with, just a map so you know what to expect.

  • Your situation right now — what’s prompting the call? It might be an incident, a training need, a policy gap, or a compliance concern.
  • Who’s involved — your home size, the roles on your team, and your current capacity.
  • What you’ve already tried — what’s worked, what hasn’t, and where you feel stuck.
  • Your timeline — is this urgent and happening now, or is it strategic planning for the months ahead?
  • Your concerns — what keeps you up at night about this? What are you most worried about getting wrong?
  • Next steps — what would success look like for you and your team?

What to have ready (optional)

You don’t need any of this — we can have a great call with nothing but your questions. But if you have any of the following on hand, it helps us give you more specific guidance:

  • Your current inclusion policy, if you have one (even a draft).
  • Recent incident details, if you’re calling about something that happened.
  • Your staff roster or team structure — who’s on the team and in what roles.
  • Any feedback you’ve heard from residents, families, or staff.
  • Your budget or investment range, if you know it — and it’s completely okay if you don’t.

What happens after the call

Within 48 hours, we’ll send you a custom proposal tailored to what we discussed. It will include the scope of work, a suggested timeline, the investment, and clear next steps.

There is no obligation — the proposal is simply an option for you to consider, share with your team, or sit with. We’re happy to answer any questions about it, adjust it, or leave it with you while you decide.

Common questions about the call

Do I need to prepare anything?

No. You can come with nothing but your questions and we’ll have a useful conversation. If you do have a policy, incident notes, or team info handy, it helps us be more specific — but it’s never required.

Will you ask about my budget?

Yes, we usually do — but only so we can tailor the proposal to something realistic for your home. If you don’t know your budget yet, that’s completely fine. We can talk through options at different investment levels.

What if I’m not ready to move forward?

That’s totally fine. The call is free and there’s no obligation. If you’re not ready, we’ll stay in touch and be here whenever the time is right for you.

Can I bring someone else on the call?

Absolutely. Bring your Director of Care, HR lead, a colleague, or anyone who needs to be part of the conversation. Many homes find it helpful to have two or three people on the call.

What if I have questions after the call?

We’ll follow up with a proposal that addresses what we discussed, and you can reply with any questions at all. There’s no such thing as too many questions.

Is this confidential?

Yes, completely. Everything you share on the call stays between us. We will not contact your organization, your board, or anyone else without your say-so.

This is a judgment-free conversation

We’ve worked with homes at every stage — from "we don’t know where to start" to "we need help with a specific incident." Wherever you are, that’s exactly the right place to begin.

There’s no such thing as a "dumb question." We’re here to help you feel confident, not tested. You’re not alone in this — many homes are in exactly the same situation, and reaching out is the first step toward making things better for your residents and your team.

We’re on your side.
